Who We Are

Dorex Letters is an independent editorial publication focused on everyday wellness practices. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body. The publication is operated from 37 Rivington Street, EC2A 3QT, London, United Kingdom.

Data We Collect

Dorex Letters collects the following categories of personal data:

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, and the content of the message. This data is collected only when a visitor voluntarily submits the contact form.
  • Readership analytics: anonymised page-view data including pages visited, time on page, referring source, and device type. This data does not identify individual visitors without additional information.
  • Technical data: IP address (truncated), browser type, and operating system, collected automatically by the server for security and traffic-analysis purposes.

Dorex Letters does not collect sensitive personal data including health data, financial data, identity documents, or data relating to protected characteristics.

How We Use Data

Personal data collected through this website is used for the following purposes:

  • Responding to contact form submissions (legal basis: legitimate interest).
  • Measuring readership patterns to improve editorial navigation and content planning (legal basis: legitimate interest, with anonymised data only).
  • Maintaining server security and preventing unauthorised access (legal basis: legitimate interest).

Dorex Letters does not use personal data for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any form of resale to third parties.

Data Storage and Retention

Contact form submissions are retained for a period of 12 months from the date of submission, after which they are permanently deleted. Anonymised readership analytics are retained for up to 24 months for trend-analysis purposes.

Technical server logs, including truncated IP addresses, are retained for a maximum of 90 days and then automatically overwritten. No personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom without an adequate level of protection in place.

Third-Party Services

The dorex.info website uses the following third-party services that may set cookies or receive limited technical data as part of their standard processing:

  • Google Fonts / Fontshare: web font delivery services that may log the requesting IP address as part of standard CDN processing.
  • Google Maps embed: used on the contact page to display the publication's location. Google may set cookies when the map is loaded. See Google's privacy policy for details.
  • jsDelivr / unpkg CDN: JavaScript library delivery. These CDNs may log request data in aggregate form.

Dorex Letters does not use Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics with user-level tracking, or any advertising platform that receives identifiable visitor data.

Your Rights Under UK GDPR

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the following rights in relation to personal data we hold about you:

  • Right of access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: you may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to erasure: you may request deletion of personal data we hold about you, subject to legal retention obligations.
